"The Countess Girasnakov, attributed to Flidget Jerome. The portrait was commissioned by the Countess' sister, the then Dowager Empress Elizaband, to commemorate her sister taking the Seat of Orshire after the mysterious death of their uncle, the previous Count, who had also been Regent at the time. The painting was finished but unfortunately never presented to the Countess, due to the Empress' own tragic death. When her nephew, the Emperor Augustor, came of age soon after, he granted his aunt the title of Duchess of Cormalley and a new portrait was commissioned to match her new rank." I really wanted to do something in the style of a historical portrait, so this happened. In retrospect, I regret drawing her anime style, it really doesn't match the rest of the painting. |
